"Nice warm soak after a long drive"
After being in the car for hours, the hot springs felt really nice. The place was cozy too. I guess it could’ve been a little more polished in a few spots, but i was just happy to relax and warm up for a while.

From my stay, the place just felt like it needed some attention. The room looked a bit worn down, and the hot tubs didn’t seem as clean or well-maintained as they should be. A few repairs and a deeper clean would make a big difference.

"Pretty good value compared to similar trips"
We had a nice time at Chena Hot Springs. It’s not exactly a budget stop, but compared to other places we’ve been where you pay a lot and don’t get much, this felt fair for the experience. The hot springs were definitely the highlight, and the area around it is really nice to wander and take in. A few parts of the property felt a little dated, and the service was just okay, but nothing was bad enough to take away from the trip. If I was in the area again, I’d probably go back

"Service was fine, maybe a little uneven"
Maybe it’s just me, but the staff felt a bit hit or miss. A couple of people were really friendly and helpful when we had questions, while others seemed rushed or like they weren’t really in the mood. Check-in went smoothly enough, but it didn’t feel especially welcoming. Overall, the service wasn’t bad, I just expected it to be a little more consistent for the price...

"Cool ice museum, but I felt a little boxed in"
The ice museum was fun and definitely cool to see in person, but the visit felt a bit short. After a while, I also started feeling kind of trapped inside the cold, enclosed space, so I was ready to head out sooner than I expected.

"Good tour, but a little too rushed for me"
The guide was really nice and easy to listen to, which I appreciated. The tour itself was good, but personally I like having a bit more time to take things in, so it felt a little rushed for my taste. Still glad I went, though.

"Unforgettable aurora night at Chena Hot Springs"
We booked the aurora viewing at Chena Hot Springs and felt so lucky to get a clear night. The staff were super helpful about when to head out and where to wait, and watching the lights slowly appear, then turn into this bright green glow over the trees, was absolutely magical.
It was definitely cold, but in the best kind of Alaska-adventure way, and it was completely worth it. Nothing felt too fancy or overdone, just a beautiful, exciting night that made me really happy to be there. I’d absolutely go again.

"Pretty place, but the drive felt way longer than expected"
The views were definitely nice once we got there, but the drive felt like it took forever. I thought we were almost there at one point, then realized we still had a while to go, so maybe I misread the timing or something. Spot overall, just way farther than I was expecting

"A Nice Trip, But Not the Smoothest with Kids"
I went with my kids, it was a bit of a mixed experience for us. I thought the place was really pretty, and my kids did enjoy checking out the ice museum, which was probably the highlight for them. But from my perspective, some parts felt more geared toward adults than families. The food options were also a little tough since my kids can be picky, and there just wasn’t a ton that worked for them. I wouldn’t say it was bad, but for us, it wasn’t the easiest family trip.

"Decent stay, but not as clean as I expected"
I stayed for one night, and overall the room was okay. The sheets looked clean, which I appreciated, and the bathroom was fine to use, but compared to other places I’ve stayed in the same price range, it didn’t feel quite as polished.
There was some dust on the lamps and along the window, and I noticed a few bits on the floor in the corners. It wasn’t anything gross or deal-breaking, but it did feel like the cleaning had been done quickly.
The location and access to the springs are definitely a plus, and I’d probably still come back for that. But if you’re used to rooms being spotless, this one might feel a little underwhelming

"Peaceful and Relaxing Visit"
I visited Chena Hot Springs and had such a lovely time. It was busy enough to feel lively, but not crowded at all, which made the whole experience feel really calm and enjoyable. There was plenty of room in the pool, no long waits, and it was easy to just relax, take photos, and wander around. I left feeling happy and refreshed. Definitely a 5-star visit for me!

"I liked the place overall, but getting there..."
I liked the place overall, but getting there without a car ended up being more annoying than I expected. I had to deal with the shuttle, and it wasn’t the smoothest experience. Once I got there, things were fine, but the trip there definitely took some patience.

"Comfy, quiet room for the night"
I stayed for one night and the room was really cozy. The bed was soft, the heat worked well, and you know how sometimes you don’t sleep great in hotels? I actually slept better than I expected

We grabbed dinner here after soaking, and I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. Everything tasted fresh, the portions were generous, and the soup really hit the spot. It’s not a fancy place or anything, but it was tasty, filling, and exactly what we needed.
